Emergency Preparedness
is a Community Responsibility
EmergencyAlert Ontario was built by emergency management professionals who believe that every municipality — large or small — deserves the tools to protect their citizens when it matters most.
To ensure that no Ontario resident is ever caught off guard by a preventable emergency.
We believe that preparedness is an act of care. When a community's emergency management team has the right tools — tools that are simple, reliable, and free — they can focus on what matters: keeping people informed, calm, and safe. EmergencyAlert exists to make those tools universally available across Ontario.
Our Core Values
🛡️ Readiness Before Crisis
The time to build your alert system is not during an emergency. We help communities establish communication infrastructure while conditions are calm — so it's fully operational when lives depend on it.
📡 Transparency & Trust
We only use official, government-issued data from Environment and Climate Change Canada. Citizens deserve accurate information from authoritative sources — not aggregated or speculative forecasts.
🤝 Accessibility for All
Not everyone has a smartphone or internet access. Our system supports SMS text to basic cell phones, email to any address, and an installable app — ensuring no one is left out of the loop.
🏛️ Community First
Built for Ontario's diverse municipalities — from densely populated urban centres to remote northern communities. One system that scales to any community size.
⚡ Speed When It Counts
Weather warnings are issued by EC meteorologists because conditions are dangerous. Our system delivers those warnings to citizens within minutes — not hours.
🔓 Open & Free
We believe public safety infrastructure should not be locked behind paywalls. EmergencyAlert is free for municipalities and powered by Canada's open government data.
Built Around Ontario's Four Pillars
EmergencyAlert is designed to support all four pillars of Ontario's Emergency Management framework — helping communities before, during, and after any emergency event.
Talk to Our TeamPrevention & Mitigation
Year-round monitoring of Environment Canada alerts means your community receives early warnings — giving residents time to prepare and take protective action.
Preparedness
The bulletin board, SMS registration, and admin tools allow your EOC to establish communication protocols and train staff long before any emergency is declared.
Response
When an emergency is declared, your CEMC can post evacuation orders, shelter locations, and critical instructions directly to every registered citizen's phone in seconds.
Recovery
The bulletin board continues to serve during recovery — communicating all-clears, road reopenings, resource availability, and ongoing updates to the community.
